A non-profit cultural organization established in 1996 and based at the homonymous Theatre-space at the centre of Athens.  

 

The Company has presented, hosted and collaborated in numerous theatre productions and cultural events in Greece and abroad.

 

Since 2003, ENTROPIA organizes the annual, international, multidisciplinary “Alternative Stage Festival (FES)”.

 

Theatre ENTROPIA promotes the creative dialogue amongst different art disciplines and the exchanges between Greece and the International Contemporary Art Scene. It’s a member of different Performing Arts Networks, such as IETM (International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts), Agoratheatral, PRISMA Forum and others, and since 2007 is one of the seven basic Houses of @work Network (www.atworknetwork.org), the rest six being: TeaterKUNST - Denmark, Reality Research Center - Finland, Teatermaskinen - Sweden, The Red Room – U.K., Dirty Deal Teatro - Latvia and Emmanuelle – Germany, a group of international theatre-makers and stage artists, alongside organisations and alliances within wider society, who are interested in exploring the politics of theatre and theatre as politics. @work Network first appeared in 2005 and at the moment counts members-satellites in ten countries.
